Root Cellar Tiny House

On a mountain by a river in a true "holler". This 1890's tobacco farm features our Root Cellar Tiny House, perfect for 2-4 people. Includes a covered porch, RV toilet and sink, solar outdoor shower and 2 person tent site, outdoor fire pit and a grill for cooking. Full over Full Bunk Bed , Wifi, AC/heater, tiny fridge, small coffee maker, one car parking directly in front for easy access. Stay comes with 1 free tubing trip or $20 credit with Thrifty Adventures.

The space
The Root Cellar Tiny House is sitting above a small stream surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountains. It is a little over 100 yards to the Toe River and one of the areas last remaining suspension bridges.

This is our quiet space that we want to share with you. Our slice of heaven. Please keep that in mind and respect it. Throw trash away, don't leave out food or trash or you might wake to an unwelcome bear! Slow down when driving into the holler! There is no leash law here so dogs run free and there are tons of deer. Please keep fires covered and never unattended.

Help us help our environment! The toilets and outdoor showers have been carefully planned out to be environmentally conscious, with special consideration to our creeks that drain into the Toe River. All water is from a spring so please be conservative with water use.

The "outhouse/camp" toilet has instructions in the guest welcome book inside the tiny house. The sink has a foot pump for hand washing. We also have a heated outdoor shower for guests.

Water is not potable and must be filtered or we suggest bringing water for coffee and drinking.

While this space is not winterized it has some insulation and a heater. Can be rented during the winter.

Linens for bedding provided but we ask that you please bring your own bath towels and use biodegradable soaps like Bronners Soap (available for purchase at the Adventure Outpost on-site).

Please note rooms are cleaned every three days unless someone requests otherwise for an additional charge.
